At DeWall’s Forge, we believe that knowledge is meant to be shared. Learning the art of blacksmithing connects us to history, craftsmanship, and the satisfaction of creating something with your own hands.

In addition to public demos, we also offer private events, educational programs, and beginner blacksmithing classes. Whether you’re looking to host a group workshop, invite a blacksmith to your event, or learn the basics yourself, we’re happy to tailor the experience to your needs.

We’ve proudly volunteered with local Boy Scout and Cadet troops, introducing young learners to the timeless craft of forging — because passing on these skills is as important as practicing them. Please understand that our Summers are busy and most classes will have to be held in our off season (fall/winter)

Class Information

  • Beginner Blacksmithing Courses start around $70 per person, covering time and materials.

  • Class sizes are limited to ensure individual instruction and safety.

  • A liability waiver is required for all participants.

  • Minors must have a parent or guardian sign the release form and be present during the course.

  • Courses will be posted on our website and social media, and may be subject to cancellation if there isn’t enough interest.
