Care & Use

Our roasting forks are finished with a natural beeswax coating, applied hot to season the metal — similar to seasoning cast iron cookware. This finish protects the steel while enhancing its hand-forged texture.

• Cleaning: Hand wash and dry thoroughly after each use.

• Storage: Store indoors or under cover to prevent rust.

• Rust Removal: If rust appears, scrub gently with a wire brush or mild steel pad.

• Re-Sealing: Reapply a food-safe oil such as mineral, linseed, or vegetable oil to reseal the surface.

For a more permanent seal, high-temperature paint may also be applied.
